The recliner – redesigned from the box up. Boxes are collected, stacked, cut, laminated, molded and folded into a strong, comfortable shell. A triangular steel base allows the chair to rock and recline.
The Re-Ply comes from the simplest of forms – a folded piece of paper. Paper is relatively strong in tension, and folding it in half yields a seat and back for a chair.
Every element of the chair emerges from multiple functions. For example, only one pair of bolts attaches the seat to the metal base. These same bolts hold the crease and allow the chair to gently rock – all in one move. Since the base is triangular, it requires only one point of contact with the seat.
Nothing added, just the essentials.
Furniture to feel good about.
Is that really just cardboard? Yep. Four layers of heavy duty corrugated fiberboard to be exact. Most boxes are broken down and recycled. The Re-Ply upcycles cardboard by rescuing it from the recycling loop and making it into something more permanent and durable. And it uses a patent pending manufacturing process, so you probably haven’t ever seen anything like this before.
Magazines in the waiting room? Get that report finished on your laptop? Chatting with friends? Yes, yes, and yes. The Re-Ply does it all.

…a timeless vintage style like the one which characterizes the key pieces of the history of design, but at the same time fully represents our time: in addition to being ergonomic it is inexpensive , eco-friendly, customizable and independently-produced with community funds. . . . It’s easy to think that if the Eames were alive today, they might have designed it themselves.
